2019年度BET大賞、6月23日生放送！

恒例のBET Awardsが、ロスアンジェルスのマイクロソフト劇場（元のノキア・シアター、キャパシティ7,100）にて、この6月23日に開催、ニューヨーク時間の8pmにTV生放映されます。このところ、ずっとヒップホップに押され気味で、ほとんどラップ大賞の様相を呈しています。

今回のハイライトは、なんと言っても7部門のノミネーションを獲得したラッパー、カーディーBです。それにしても、芸名がお酒のバカーディー (Bacardi)からとったというのはどうなんでしょう。妹もラッパーで、ヘネシー(Hennessy)と名乗っています。よっぽど酒好きな姉妹なんですね。

その他、ドレイクが5部門、ビヨンセ、トラヴィス・スコット、Jコール、それぞれ4部門ずつノミネートされています。

今回の大賞は、いったいどんなアーティトがパフォーマンスをするのか、気になりますね。すでに発表されているのは、カーディB、City Girls、DJ Khaled、Lil Nas X、Migos など。他にもサプライズ・ゲストがたくさん登場しような気配。

BET大賞は、アメリカ国内だけでなく、フランス（6.25）、UK（6.24）、そして韓国（6.25）でも放映されるとのこと。なぜ、日本では放映されないのでしょうか…….。

DJ июнь самый известный японский женский DJ в Нью-Йорке

1. Down In The DM – Yo Gotti

Memphis 出身のラッパー Yo Gotti。黒人のお兄さんから大変支持されています。この曲はあんまり白人さんには全然ウケないけどコアなヒップホップファンのお兄さんお姉さん方にはかなりウケます。よくリクエストもきてます。音楽通のバーテンダーのお姉ちゃには毎週かけてってリクエストされます。シンセとヘビーなベース、シンプルなドラムの打ち込みで、かなりかっこいいビートに仕上がってますね。リリックの中には今お付き合いしてるアンジェラ・シモンズ（Run D.M.C. のランの娘) の名前も出てきてて熱々ぶりがうかがえます。うらやましい限りです。

Memphis rapper Yo Gotti is getting love from young Afro-American men. “Down In The DM” is a minimalist, bass-heavy, synth-and-808 hip-hop cool song is somehow ignored by white people but real hip-hop lovers, male and female respond with utmost enthusiasm. My dear mixologist girl at the club who is a music connoisseur requests this song every week. As he mentions Angela Simmons’ name in the lyrics Gotti obviously got a crush on daughter of Run (of Run D.M.C., Russell Simmons’ younger brother.)

2. Look At My Dab – Migos

ちょっと前に出たんですがようやくクラブでおなじみになって来ました。ヒップホップだけのクラブでは前から盛り上がってたんですが、ミックス・クラウドのクラブ (いろんな人種のお客さんがいるクラブ)ではようやくこの曲が盛り上がってきました。今まで本当 Future、Drakeばっかりだったんで。Look At My Dabはダンスの振りもついてるんでこれがかかるとみんなで同じ振り付けダンスが出来て楽しいです。

It took for a minute for Migos’ “Look At My Dab” to be played at mixed crowd clubs nationwide. Future and Drake have been dominated the dancefloor but now the dabbing is taking over with a dande birthed in Atlanta. It’s fun!

3. Bang My Head – David Guetta f/ Sia & Fetty Wap

いやーもうどこにもFetty Wapがフューチャリングされててもの凄い人気です。どんだけ稼いでるんかなーって思わず考えちゃいます。凄い人気の一言。彼の人気をDavid Guettaさまが放っておくわけない。ミッドテンポのとっても踊りやすいビートで、 Siaとデュエットしてます。白人のお姉さん達にウケてます。Fettyさん声と歌い方に特徴ありすぎなのでなんとなく曲の区別がつきにくいです、私だけかなー。この人気ずっと続くのでしょうか。

2015 was inarguably the year of Fetty Wap, like he said, ‘I’ma be the youngest rapper with one eye, but a lot of money…….,’ so how much is a lot of money, I wonder. His instant fame cannot be unnoticed by a super successful French DJ and music producer David Guetta who immediately approached Fetty and Australian recording artist Sia to be on his song “Bang My Head.” His unique vocal style somewhat makes every song sounds alike, I think. Maybe it’s just me. I don’t know how long his popularity would last………

1. Break Free – Ariana Grande

今かなりのりに乗ってるArianaちゃんのダンスナンバー。
EDMの大人気プロデューサー Zeddがプロデュースしたんだけど、やはりArianaちゃん向けなのか、かなりポップな仕上がりです。
でも一回で覚えられそうなコーラスでとってもノリがいい。
クラブではもうすこしEDM濃い目のリミックスをかけています。

Super catchy dance tune from red hot Ariana produced by Zedd for EDM. The original mix is so pop. So I play a little deeper EDM remix at the clubs.

2. Bricks – Camage f/ Migos

Hip Hop大好きなお兄さん達に特に人気のあるMigosがフューチャリングされてるので、最近良くリクエストが来ます。まだブレークするのには時間がかかるかもしれない。

I get lots of requests lately because featured artist Migos is so popular. But I might take a little more time for a break.

3. Hookah – Tyga f/ Young Thug

これはHip Hopクラウドにしかうけない曲と言ってしまってもいいかも。
お兄さん達にたまにリクエストされますが、かけると少数の人がめちゃくちゃ感謝してくれます。でも白人さん達には全くうけないので、要注意です(笑)
だからいつもパーティーの終盤戦でかけます。

This is only for hip hop crowds. When I play this upon request, a few crowd get crazy but white folks look they don’t feel it at all. So I play this at the very end of the party.

DJジューンです。一週間経つのは早いですね。あっという間です。さて、今週もNYのクラブで回して盛り上がった曲を紹介します。

1 Turn Down For What – DJ Snake feat. Lil Jon

Clinton Sparks のミュージック・パートナーとしてLady Gaga, Pitbullなどの曲を手掛けてきたDJ Snakeが、今回Lil Jonをフューチャーリングして作ったエレクトロ・ヒップホップ。昔のLil LJonの”Outta Your Mind,” “Get Low”などと一緒にかけると迫力満点の一曲！クラブでは既に大ウケ中。

2 Pound Cake – Drake feat. Jay Z

しっとりとしたトラック、Drakeから始まってJay Zへバトンタッチ…。Drake の曲なのに、完全に Jay Z の存在感に押され気味。とにかくJay Zのパートがかっこいい。

The two rap superstars Drake and Jay Z trade rhymes about getting paper. Jay Z manages to outrap the younger Drake. Jigga still holds it down!

3 Hanna Montana – Migos

“Versace”でブレークした Migos のもうひとつのヒット曲。今話題の Miley Cyrus に捧げる曲かなと思いきや、 Hanna Montana はスラングでドラッグのことでした。Molly(ドラッグ)も同様。曲のトラックは渋め。

Atlanta trap-rap crew Migos known for their big hip-hop club hit “Versace” is also enjoying another hit. “Hannah Montana” appears to be a shout out to Miley Cyrus is actually a reference to cocaine and club drug MDMA (aka Molly).
