2004年に Lean Backが大ヒットした Terror Squad の Fat Joe & Remmy Ma。
あれからもう12年も経つんですね！びっくりです。Lean backは今でもクラブでかかって盛り上がる パーティーチューン。とにかくビートがカッコ良いし、キャッチーなサビで大ヒットでした。今回Fat Joe, Remmy Ma の2人がアルバムを出すそうで、そこからのファーストシングルです。ブロンクス出身の現在物凄い人気のFrench Montanaが加わって シングルがより強力に。クラブでいつもリクエスト来て、かけると盛り上がります。やっぱりブロンクス、NY、ついでにラテンパワーなんでしょうか。すごい人気です。
The first time since 2004’s big hit, “Lean Back,” Fat Joe and Remy Ma worked on a new project for their new single “All The Way Up.” This would surely bring back early 00s New York spirit the two were known for with their Bronx based Terror Squad Work. Fat Joe announced that he will be dropping a new album with Remy Ma, “Plata O Plomo,” which means money or bullets (silver or lead). With French Montana along for the joy ride, the BX crew rip the track to shred while marrying street talk with a knockin’ beat.
2 Piped It Up – Migos
Look At My Dabが今も、ちょー人気の Migosの新曲。この曲にも Dabみたいな振り付けがあって みんな踊ってます。Migosノリにノッってます。クラブでも絶対かかってます。
3 Dessert – Dawin
Brooklyn NY出身のシンガー、プロデューサー。ロマンチックな甘いR&B から始まって 途中のブレークでいきなり軽快なTwerkビートに切り替わり、またR&Bに戻ると言う…初めて聞いた時ちょっとびっくりな曲。Dawinさん自身がプロデュースもしてます。彼はBrooklyn出身のニューカマーなんですが なぜかこの曲はNYじゃない所で火が付き、ヒットしたみたいです。私も結構前に、NY出身じゃないDJの人に この曲こっちでもかかってる？ 僕のタウンでは1番の曲なんだけど..って その時NYでそんなにまだかかってない時に 聞かれて この曲を教えてもらいました。クラブにぴったりな素敵な曲です。
Dawin is the singer and rapper from Brooklyn best known for the 2015 hit single “Dessert,” very unique track mixing trap drops into the sugar confection. The playful vibe and deliver matches the song title and using the signature effected trap voice for the dance breaks fits perfectly. The song didn’t break first in his hometown of NYC. My fellow DJ friend from out of town told me about this song when not so many DJs play this in New York. This song fits clubs wonderfully. Lovin’ it.

Memphis 出身のラッパー Yo Gotti。黒人のお兄さんから 大変支持されています。この曲は あんまり白人さんには全然ウケないけど コアなヒップホップファンのお兄さんお姉さん方にはかなりウケます。よくリクエストもきてます。音楽通のバーテンダーのお姉ちゃには毎週かけてってリクエストされます。シンセとヘビーなベース、シンプルなドラムの打ち込みで、かなりかっこいいビートに仕上がってますね。リリックの中には 今お付き合いしてる アンジェラ・シモンズ （Run D.M.C. のランの娘) の名前も出てきてて 熱々ぶりがうかがえます。うらやましい限りです。
Memphis rapper Yo Gotti is getting love from young Afro-American men. “Down In The DM” is a minimalist, bass-heavy, synth-and-808 hip-hop cool song is somehow ignored by white people but real hip-hop lovers, male and female respond with utmost enthusiasm. My dear mixologist girl at the club who is a music connoisseur requests this song every week. As he mentions Angela Simmons’ name in the lyrics Gotti obviously got a crush on daughter of Run (of Run D.M.C., Russell Simmons’ younger brother.)
2. Look At My Dab – Migos
ちょっと前に出たんですが ようやくクラブでおなじみになって来ました。ヒップホップだけのクラブでは 前から盛り上がってたんですが、ミックス・クラウドのクラブ (いろんな人種のお客さんがいるクラブ)では ようやくこの曲が盛り上がってきました。今まで本当 Future、Drakeばっかりだったんで。Look At My Dabはダンスの振りもついてるんで これがかかると みんなで同じ振り付けダンスが出来て楽しいです。
It took for a minute for Migos’ “Look At My Dab” to be played at mixed crowd clubs nationwide. Future and Drake have been dominated the dancefloor but now the dabbing is taking over with a dande birthed in Atlanta. It’s fun!
3. Bang My Head – David Guetta f/ Sia & Fetty Wap
いやー もうどこにもFetty Wapがフューチャリングされてて もの凄い人気です。どんだけ稼いでるんかなーって思わず考えちゃいます。凄い人気の一言。彼の人気をDavid Guettaさまが 放っておくわけない。ミッドテンポのとっても踊りやすいビートで、 Siaとデュエットしてます。白人のお姉さん達にウケてます。Fettyさん 声と歌い方に特徴ありすぎなので なんとなく 曲の区別がつきにくいです、私だけかなー。この人気ずっと続くのでしょうか。
2015 was inarguably the year of Fetty Wap, like he said, ‘I’ma be the youngest rapper with one eye, but a lot of money…….,’ so how much is a lot of money, I wonder. His instant fame cannot be unnoticed by a super successful French DJ and music producer David Guetta who immediately approached Fetty and Australian recording artist Sia to be on his song “Bang My Head.” His unique vocal style somewhat makes every song sounds alike, I think. Maybe it’s just me. I don’t know how long his popularity would last………

これまた今 1番ホットなアーティスト、Fetty Wapが参加してます。もういろんな曲に入ってて 全部がFetty Wapな気がしてしまいます。めちゃくちゃ 稼いでいるので サンクスギビングには ターキーを貧しい人に配ったらしいです、なかなか良いところあるな。なんだかFettyさんはこっちのビルボードで記録作ったとかで、彼の曲が3曲同時にトップ10入りしたらしく 今まで誰も果たしたことない快挙らしいです。これはChris Brown名義の曲なんですが、Fetty Wapの声が存在感あり過ぎで、なんだかChris BrownとMontanaがバックコーラスに聞こえてしまいます。曲調は DJマスタード的な今時 R&Bです。
French Montana and Fetty Wap collaborated with Chris Brown for his “Hell Of A Nite” very DJ Mustard-like R&B record. It seems like the hottest rapper Fetty is on every rap song and he takes over the main artist. This new CB song is not the exception, Ferry‘s strong presence dominates the song and Chris and Montana become featured back singers. The news that the Paterson native handed out 200 turkeys for Thanksgiving in his old hometown made me feel good about him. I also learned he is the first act to simultaneously chart first four charting singles in the top 10 of Hot Rap Songs. Fetty Wap is unstoppable!!
前回に引き続きJustinくんで 申し訳ありませんが、Sorry…クラブで大人気です。やっぱりなんだか お兄さん達は、Justin Bieberで俺は踊れるかよーっ的な雰囲気の時もあるんですが…でもお姉さん達が 男を放ったからしにして ダンスフロアーに走って出てきます。プロデューサーは EDMのスーパー・プロデューサー、DJのSkrillexです。前にコラボした Jack U、Where Are U Nowも めっちゃ良い曲でしたね。実際凄く良い曲です。新しく出たアルバム Purposeも評判良いです。ちっちゃなころからスターで それを持続しながら もっと大スターになっていって、それって凄いことだなぁって思います。
Once again folks, Mr. Justin is on my chart as well as last week. His current hit “Sorry” is going strong in the club. All the ladies are dashing to the dance floor leaving their male companions for this song”. But guys? Their attitudes say “no way, dance to Justin Beiber song, not me……..” whereas guys unwilling to dance to this one. The song is produced by DJ Skrillex. Remember the previous big hit “Where Are U Now” together with Diplo and Jack U? Great song! I can’t give enough credit for Justin for starting from so young and staying on top for so long. Check out his wonderful new album “Purpose.”
DJ マスタードにしては ちょっとポップ系だなって思ったんですが、それもそのはず。アムステルダムのDJトリオ Yellow Clawとのコラボです。彼らはHip Hop、Dub Step, Trapを中心の人気グループ。ノリが良く踊りやすそう。途中に入るブレークがTwerkぽい感じです。ラッパーもみんなの好きな Ty dollaとTygaでバランス良いです。これからラジオでもたくさんかかるようになるかな。楽しみです。
No wonder this new single called “In My Room” is unusually poppish for DJ Mustard as he gets some help from Dutch EDM trio Yellow Claw. The trio made a big entry into the hip-hop world by teaming up with three of L.A.’s hottest acts, DJ Mustard, Ty Dolla $sign, and Tyga, for a very danceable song. This will be a next radio banger.
