発売ホヤホヤのKendrick Lamarのアルバム To Pimp a Butterfly から。アルバムは 全体的にいい感じ、おしゃれ度アップ、ネオソウルぽい、渋いです。ドロドロHip Hop命 ヘネシー大好きお兄さん達がクラブで喜びそうかはわからないけど、そんなお兄さん達も絶対車運転中に聞くのは好きでしょう。初めてKendrick…を聞いた時から思ったんですが、曲によっては Outkast に似てるなぁ(トラックとか) と思います。みんなも大好きですよね、Outkast。なんだか 懐かしい感じのするこの曲。ネオソウル代表者 Bilalも入ってます。生ギター、シンセ.. 生バンドでのパフォーマンスみたいです！

The first one I picked is this song from Kendrick Lamar’s brandnew album “To Pimp a Butterfly”. It is a ‘90s neo-soul throwback and may not satisfy hardcore Hennessy loving Hip Hop heads at clubs but I bet they enjoy listening to the album in the car. My first impression on Kendrick back then was that he sounded so much like Outkast on some tracks. We love Outkast, don’t we? Featuring vocals by neo-soul King, Bilal and acoustic guitar, synthesizer and other instruments “These Walls” brings back old soul music

今ノリに乗ってるラッパー Big Sean。現在の彼女は Ariana Grandeちゃんだし、色々注目されてます。大人気のDrakeに加え、リミックスではKanye Westがフューチャーリングされてて、かなりビッグです。クラブでもお兄さん達にバッチリ人気でホットな曲です。

Everything is going well with Ariana Grande’s hot rapper boyfriend, Big Sean. Remix version of his “Blessings”, a collaboration with Drake featuring Kanye West is getting real big. Especially among young brothers in the club this song is blowing up!

1- All Day – Kanye West f/ Theophilus & Allan Kingdom

キム・カダーシアンと結婚してから、色々言われてますが……….。この曲はかっこいいです。ミュージック・ビデオも有名な Director Steve McQueenが作って 白黒フィルムでとっても渋い仕上がり。

So much attention he’s getting ever since he got married to Kim Kardashian……….but in my opinion Kanye’s latest single “All Day” is real cool. Watch out the Steve McQueen (director of 12 Years A Slave) music clip, a pretty minimal black and white stylish visual.

2- Five More Hours – Deorro & Chris Brown

去年ヒットした プロデューサー Deorroの Five Hoursって曲の、ボーカル入りバージョン。Chris Brownが歌ってます。Yeah x3 みたいにノリがいい ポップ・ダンスミュージックです。クラブでかけたら絶対ウケるの間違いなしです。ダンスミュージックだけど、Chris Brownはヒップホップ・ファンから絶大な人気なんで、みんなに通用するありがたい一曲になります。

Originally released on Avicii’s label, “Five Hours” by Deorro was given a pop makeover from mega-star Chris Brown changing the title to “Five More Hours”. Just like “Yeah x 3” it is a strong pop dance song and a great club banger. This pleases both EDM and Hip-Hop fans. Thanks to CB’s crossover appeal.

3-m.A.A.d city – Kendrick Lamar f/ MC Eiht

彼のラストアルバムが出たのはもう2年前になるのですね。時間が経つの早いですね！彼を一躍スターにした大ヒット・アルバムの中でも人気のこの曲、結構時間経ってるのに、この曲 やたらと今でもクラブで耳にします。同じコンプトン出身ラッパー、レジェンド MC Eihtがフューチャーリングされてるところが また渋いです。

This song from his second album was released more than 2 years ago as Lamar’s major label debut and still being played at clubs all over the place. One thing I love about this song is that it’s featuring his fellow Compton rapper, legendary MC Eiht.

1- 6 Man – Drake

Drakeのニューアルバムは出たばかり。何の宣伝、プロモーション無しに 出た途端にiTunes チャートいきなり 1位。全く事前のプロモーションなしでです。Drakeの人気は凄いですね〜。アルバムの中でもこの曲はクラブ映えします。ビートもしっかりしてるので、女の子達も踊りやすいから人気です。

Drake dropped an unexpected mixtape, If Youre Reading This It’s Too Late with no promotion and it became no. 1 on iTunes chart. It is pretty awesome! People love Drake! “6 Man” is perfect for the club and the beat is nice. Especially girls love this song they can dance to.

2- All Hands On Deck – Tinashe f/ Iggy Azalea

今なかなか人気絶好調な Tinasheちゃん。しかも Iggyがフューチャーリングされてるから、絶対人気でますね。可愛いお姉ちゃん二人のコラボ、特にミュージックビデオ出た時には 見たくない人いないですよね！

The song by up and coming Tinashe featuring Iggy is definitely the winner. No one can resist the music video of the collaboration of these 2 pretty girls.

3- Lituation – Fabolous

イントロに Lauryn Hill の名曲 Lost One からの Money change the situation って声がサンプルされてて 懐かしい感と渋い感が組み合わさってます。これ、Hip Hop好きのお兄さん達から凄い人気です。この間 お兄さんにこの曲をかけてくれって かなりねだられました。渋っていたら 50ドルくれたのでばっちりかけました!!めったにないですが、とってもラッキーでした！

It samples the phrase “it’s funny how money change a situation……” from Lauryn Hill’s classic hit “Lost One”, Fabolous describes the song as “something for the streets” and it quickly became a Hip Hop anthem among brothers in the ‘hoods. Some guy asked me to play this song and when I was hesitated he gave me $50! It’s funny how money changed a situation…..
