Hell Of A Night -Chris Brown feat. French Montana & Fetty Wap

これまた今 1番ホットなアーティスト、Fetty Wapが参加してます。もういろんな曲に入ってて全部がFetty Wapな気がしてしまいます。めちゃくちゃ稼いでいるのでサンクスギビングにはターキーを貧しい人に配ったらしいです、なかなか良いところあるな。なんだかFettyさんはこっちのビルボードで記録作ったとかで、彼の曲が3曲同時にトップ10入りしたらしく今まで誰も果たしたことない快挙らしいです。これはChris Brown名義の曲なんですが、Fetty Wapの声が存在感あり過ぎで、なんだかChris BrownとMontanaがバックコーラスに聞こえてしまいます。曲調は DJマスタード的な今時 R&Bです。

French Montana and Fetty Wap collaborated with Chris Brown for his “Hell Of A Nite” very DJ Mustard-like R&B record. It seems like the hottest rapper Fetty is on every rap song and he takes over the main artist. This new CB song is not the exception, Ferry‘s strong presence dominates the song and Chris and Montana become featured back singers. The news that the Paterson native handed out 200 turkeys for Thanksgiving in his old hometown made me feel good about him. I also learned he is the first act to simultaneously chart first four charting singles in the top 10 of Hot Rap Songs. Fetty Wap is unstoppable!!

Sorry – Justin Bieber

前回に引き続きJustinくんで申し訳ありませんが、Sorry…クラブで大人気です。やっぱりなんだかお兄さん達は、Justin Bieberで俺は踊れるかよーっ的な雰囲気の時もあるんですが…でもお姉さん達が男を放ったからしにしてダンスフロアーに走って出てきます。プロデューサーは EDMのスーパー・プロデューサー、DJのSkrillexです。前にコラボした Jack U、Where Are U Nowもめっちゃ良い曲でしたね。実際凄く良い曲です。新しく出たアルバム Purposeも評判良いです。ちっちゃなころからスターでそれを持続しながらもっと大スターになっていって、それって凄いことだなぁって思います。

Once again folks, Mr. Justin is on my chart as well as last week. His current hit “Sorry” is going strong in the club. All the ladies are dashing to the dance floor leaving their male companions for this song”. But guys? Their attitudes say “no way, dance to Justin Beiber song, not me……..” whereas guys unwilling to dance to this one. The song is produced by DJ Skrillex. Remember the previous big hit “Where Are U Now” together with Diplo and Jack U? Great song! I can’t give enough credit for Justin for starting from so young and staying on top for so long. Check out his wonderful new album “Purpose.”

In My Room – Yellow Claw & DJ Mustard f/ Ty Dolla $ign & Tyga

DJ マスタードにしてはちょっとポップ系だなって思ったんですが、それもそのはず。アムステルダムのDJトリオ Yellow Clawとのコラボです。彼らはHip Hop、Dub Step, Trapを中心の人気グループ。ノリが良く踊りやすそう。途中に入るブレークがTwerkぽい感じです。ラッパーもみんなの好きな Ty dollaとTygaでバランス良いです。これからラジオでもたくさんかかるようになるかな。楽しみです。

No wonder this new single called “In My Room” is unusually poppish for DJ Mustard as he gets some help from Dutch EDM trio Yellow Claw. The trio made a big entry into the hip-hop world by teaming up with three of L.A.’s hottest acts, DJ Mustard, Ty Dolla $sign, and Tyga, for a very danceable song. This will be a next radio banger.

Hotline Bling – Drake

D.R.A.Mの Cha Chaのトラックをちょっとお借りして歌ってるけど、なんかこれ凄く好きな一曲です。多分昔の彼女の事について歌ってるみたいだけど、少し哀愁漂ってるけどそこまでヘビーじゃない。ちょうど秋になりかけの夏、今の季節ピッタリの曲。私は個人的にDrakeさん、歌ってる時の方が好きです。

For some reason I love this “Hotline Bling” borrowed D.R.A.M’s track “Cha Cha.” It sounds nostalgic that he is talking about his ex girl but not so heavy almost perfectly fits for the end of summer……..I love Mr. Drake singing like a crooner.

Twist My Fingaz – YG

今 NWAの映画が話題沸騰中で West Coast が熱いですね。どう聴いてもDreの The Chronic や Snoop の Doggystyleらへん時代を意識したYGの新曲。最近 LAのラジオを聴いてたらよくこれかかってました。NYではまだあまりかかってないような気がします。Terrace Martinがプロデュース。Snoop,Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamarなどに曲を提供していて有名です。

YG’s first single off his second album, Still Krazy. Rather than his usual collaboration with DJ Mustard, this time he’s teamed up with Terrace Martin for a classic West Coast G-funk sound. The producer Terrace Martin is known for hits for Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar and many others.

DJ Mustard節トラック + Ty Dolla Signでいつもの感じですが、途中でTrapビートになりかっこいいです。パーティーのど真ん中用ではないかもですが、良いWarm Upソングとしてヘビーローテーション中。

Ty$ and Mustard deliver an anthem as usual with the cool trap drop. This may not the obvious party banger but I use this as a warm up song.

1 These Walls – Kendrick Lamar f/ Bilal, Anna Wise & Thundercat

発売ホヤホヤのKendrick Lamarのアルバム To Pimp a Butterfly から。アルバムは全体的にいい感じ、おしゃれ度アップ、ネオソウルぽい、渋いです。ドロドロHip Hop命ヘネシー大好きお兄さん達がクラブで喜びそうかはわからないけど、そんなお兄さん達も絶対車運転中に聞くのは好きでしょう。初めてKendrick…を聞いた時から思ったんですが、曲によっては Outkast に似てるなぁ(トラックとか) と思います。みんなも大好きですよね、Outkast。なんだか懐かしい感じのするこの曲。ネオソウル代表者 Bilalも入ってます。生ギター、シンセ.. 生バンドでのパフォーマンスみたいです！

The first one I picked is this song from Kendrick Lamar’s brandnew album “To Pimp a Butterfly”. It is a ‘90s neo-soul throwback and may not satisfy hardcore Hennessy loving Hip Hop heads at clubs but I bet they enjoy listening to the album in the car. My first impression on Kendrick back then was that he sounded so much like Outkast on some tracks. We love Outkast, don’t we? Featuring vocals by neo-soul King, Bilal and acoustic guitar, synthesizer and other instruments “These Walls” brings back old soul music

1. ScHoolboy Q – Oxymoron

“ケンドリック・ラマー”で一躍有名となったヒップホップグループ、”ブラック・ヒッピー”のメンバーとしても注目のScHoolboy Q。デビュー・アルバム「オキシモーロン」がめっちゃEast Coastを感じさせる、骨太で格好良くて、今年特に話題となったLAのArtist。

ScHoolboy Q’s debut album “Oxymoron” made a big impact in Hip Hop in 2014. Even though the album has the strong East Coast vibe Q is also a member of West Coast hip hop group Black Hippy, alongside his label-mates and fellow California-based rappers Ab-Soul, Jay Rock and Kendrick Lamar.

2. YG – My Krazy Life

ScHoolboy Qと打って変わって”THE WEST COAST”感 120%で格好良かったのがYGのコチラ。今年のM.V.P. プロデューサーDJ MUSTARDの手腕が光る。そ〜いや、何かこのアルバムの印税の件で2人が揉めてるとか……。

Contrary to rather East sounding ScHoolboy Q, YG’s “My Krazy Life” is 120% down with the West Coast bringing back the sound. Thanks to the great work by this year’s M.V.P. producer DJ Mustard. By the way, you heard these 2 from the better coast are fighting over royalties?

3. Pharrell Williams – Girl

前半に出すと後半に印象が薄れがちになる年間アルバムチャートの中でも忘れてはいけないQualityの高いアルバム。『Happy』は日本でも社会現象に…..。

Don’t sleep on the quality album like this which was dropped in the first half of the year that most people tend to forget. “Happy” became a big phenomenon even in the country like Nippon.
