Maria Davis Mad Wednesday’s R&B Against AIDS
Maria Davis is said to see herself as the face of HIV/AIDS for African-American women. Once a successful hip-hop promoter, perhaps best known for her appearance on Jay-Z’s first album ‘Reasonable Doubt’, Maria’s life was turned upside-down in 1995, when an HIV test she had taken as part of an application for a life insurance policy came back positive. She had unknowingly contracted the disease from her soon-to-be husband. Three years later, she was diagnosed with full-blown AIDS. She now serves as a HIV/AIDS activist and national spokesperson for World AIDS Day and continues to make history with amfAR, one of the only cure-focused organizations and has lived healthily with AIDS for more than 10 years.

Mad Wednesday’s has now incorporated a live band to it’s family featuring “karl Browne” (Key Boards), “Lil Sean” (Drums), “Melvin Koonce” (lead Guitar) & “Jerry Brooks” (lead Bass)

キム・カダーシアンと結婚してから、色々言われてますが……….。この曲はかっこいいです。ミュージック・ビデオも有名な Director Steve McQueenが作って 白黒フィルムでとっても渋い仕上がり。
So much attention he’s getting ever since he got married to Kim Kardashian……….but in my opinion Kanye’s latest single “All Day” is real cool. Watch out the Steve McQueen (director of 12 Years A Slave) music clip, a pretty minimal black and white stylish visual.
2- Five More Hours – Deorro & Chris Brown
去年ヒットした プロデューサー Deorroの Five Hoursって曲の、ボーカル入りバージョン。Chris Brownが歌ってます。Yeah x3 みたいにノリがいい ポップ・ダンスミュージックです。クラブでかけたら絶対ウケるの間違いなしです。ダンスミュージックだけど、Chris Brownはヒップホップ・ファンから絶大な人気なんで、みんなに通用するありがたい一曲になります。
Originally released on Avicii’s label, “Five Hours” by Deorro was given a pop makeover from mega-star Chris Brown changing the title to “Five More Hours”. Just like “Yeah x 3” it is a strong pop dance song and a great club banger. This pleases both EDM and Hip-Hop fans. Thanks to CB’s crossover appeal.
3-m.A.A.d city – Kendrick Lamar f/ MC Eiht
彼のラストアルバムが出たのはもう2年前になるのですね。時間が経つの早いですね！彼を一躍スターにした大ヒット・アルバムの中でも人気のこの曲、結構時間経ってるのに、この曲 やたらと今でもクラブで耳にします。同じコンプトン出身ラッパー、レジェンド MC Eihtがフューチャーリングされてるところが また渋いです。
This song from his second album was released more than 2 years ago as Lamar’s major label debut and still being played at clubs all over the place. One thing I love about this song is that it’s featuring his fellow Compton rapper, legendary MC Eiht.
