1 Under Control – Calvin Harris & Alesso feat. Hurts

昨年と今年大活躍したカルヴァン・ハリスの新曲です。爽やかな男性ボーカルが生える(まだ大ブレークとまでは行かないけど)クラブ映えするとってもノリのいい曲です。残念ながら、昨日のアメリカン・ミュージック・アワードでは、惜しくも Avicii にエレクトロ部門の賞を奪われてしまいましたが…….。 Avicii の “Wake Me Up” という曲はクラブで今でも圧倒的人気ですから…….。

The king of EDM, Calvin Harris’s new electro-pop song “Under Control” featuring the vocal of Hurts’ Theo Hutchcraft is not a full-blown major hit yet but a perfect club banger. At American Music Awards, unfortunately Avicii took the Electronic Dance Music award over Calvin Harris as Avicii’s “Wake Me Up” still dominates the dance floor across the world.

2 Timber – Kesha & Pitbull

ずっと二人で全米、海外をツアーをしているので息もピッタリ。日本にも行ってTVに出たと聞きました。見たかったなぁ。何ヶ月か前に二人のツアーがアトランティック・シティーにも来て、友達がバックDJをしていたので、観ることができました。ラッキー！最初に Kesha のコンサートで次に Pitbull のコンサートという2部仕立て、でも覚えているのは Kesha のギタリストがちょーかっこ良かった…..ほとんどそれのみ(笑) 。

Kesha and Pitbull have been on tour nationwide and worldwide and their chemistry is real great. I heard they even went to Japan and appeared on TV shows. I wish I could have watched it. A few months ago, I was so lucky to experience their show when they came to Atlantic City. My fellow DJ friend who was playing at their concert invited me to see the show. Kesha performed the first part then Pitbull did his thing for the second part but all I could remember was how cute Kesha’s guitarist was.

3 Walking On Air – Katy Perry

少しフリー・スタイル風(ラテン系イタリアン系の人達から発生した、 80年代中頃に流行したダンスミュージック）で、懐かしい曲調。Katy Perryちゃんは、今、大人気のRoarの様なアイドル的ポップ・ソングから、この曲の様なちょっとハードな感じも歌いこなせる可愛いだけじゃない実力派。そうでないとアメリカでスーパー・スターにはなれないのだ。

The track “Walking On Air” is an early 90s-inspired deep house-Eurodance-disco song. Katy Perry not only sings power pop songs like “Roar” but also can sing a classic disco rager like this one. She’s not just a pretty face. Her versatile vocal ability makes her a real super star in America!

クラッシクR&Bの I wanna Thank you をそのまま使ったトラックに、バスタ、カニエ、Qティップ……..超豪華メンバーのてんこ盛り…。パーティで流行るかどうかわからないけど、こういうのも新鮮で素敵です！

Busta Rhymes’s new single “Thank You” transformed disco diva Alicia Meyers’s 1981 classic, I Wanna Thank You, into a upbeat star-studded collaboration featuring Q Tip, Kanye West & Lil Wayne. Not sure if this gonna be big on dance floor but definitely refreshing!

2 Love Game – Eminem feat. Kendrick Lamar

Emimenのアルバム凄く評判いいですね！私自身もどの曲も大好きです。Kendrick Lamarがフューチャリングされたこの曲は明るい感じのトラックに、オールドスクールのリリックなんかも盛り込まれてて、とっても楽しいです。

Eminem’s new album is fantastic. I love every song on Marshall Mathers LP2. “Love Game” is a good vibe song featuring Kendrick Lamar and Em threw some old school lyrics.

3 Know About Me – Timbaland feat. Jay-Z, Drake & James Fauntleroy

あのTimbalandのチキチキビートが戻ってきた！そしてJayZとDrake……パーティーで盛り上げてくれる一曲になって欲しいです。

Timbaland’s come back! Timbo’s productions chops are the star of the show. Joined by Jay-Z and Drake should keep the party going.

1 Red Nose – Sage The Gemini

なんとなくFinatticzの“Don’t Stop That Thun Thun” のに似た感じのサウンド。ちょっぴり哀愁がただようメロディ。ミュージック・ビデオもフッドぽくて楽しい。

Something urban and colorful video shot in West Oakland, CA. “Red Nose” sounds a bit like “Don’t Stop That Thun Thun” by Finatticz.

2 Paranoid – Ty Dolla $ign feat. B.O.B.

ノリがよくて踊れるヒップホップ。”I’m Different” – 2 Chainzあたりとからめてかけたりしてます。今は、ダンスやエレクトロばかりだし、ヒップホップというとトラップ（BPM プが60-70 プあたりの遅い曲）になってしまうし………。クラブでがっつり踊れるヒップホップ、もって頑張ってほしいです。

I love this rockin’ hip-hop song. I enjoy playing “Paranoid” and “I’m Different” by 2 Chainz back to back. Current club scene is dominated by dance/electoro music and hip-hop means trap with BPM around 60-70, real slow. I love to hear more hip-hop song like this one.

3 Sh#t – Future

かなり遅いテンポでFutureが何やら言ってます（笑）。かなりコアなヒップホップ好きの黒人お兄さんたちからリクエストがきます。けっして踊れる曲ではありませんが、リック・ロス、フューチャー系好きには大ウケの一曲。

Future says something over real slow beats. Somebody tell me what he’s saying (l.o.l.) This song is always requested by hardcore hip-hop loving black guys. It’s not for dancing but if you are Rick Ross/Future fans you would love this sh#t!

1 The Monster – Eminem feat. Rihanna

3年前の2人のLove The Way You Lieを思い出させます。一回聞いただけで耳に残るRihannaのキャッチーなコーラスが決め手。ヒットまちがいなしだなぁ、これは。

It almost sounds like a sequel to their collaboration “Love The Way You Lie”, Rihanna’s catchy chorus is sure a ‘monster hook.’ This will be a huge hit, no doubt!

2 Roar – Katy Perry

とにかくビデオが可愛らしい..Katyちゃんが女ターザンになってます。ポップなので軽視されがち？だけど、でもとてもいい曲だと思います。特に白人の女の子からリクエスト多し。

私がいつもDJしているアトランティック・シティーのクラブにずっと前遊びに来たことがあるんですが、その時はまだ売れ始める前だったのでそこまで気にもとめず…。その時は普通のパッとしない女の子という印象したね…..。今になってあの時写真一緒に撮っておけばよかった、と後悔してます（笑）。

I love Katy’s “Roar” video. She is so cute dressed as female Tarzan. Even though she is a pop icon I still think this is a great song. Mostly requested by white girls.

Katy actually came to the party in Atlantic City I was DJ’ing before she became famous. I didn’t pay much attention to her as she looked so plain. I should have taken a picture with her if I knew……..

3 Candy Rain – Soul For Real

1995年にヒットしたR&Bの名曲。4人の兄弟から成るグループ。私も大好きな曲でパーティでは毎回かけます。ちょっと年齢が高めのパーティーでは間違いなしど真ん中ストライク、それもHeavy Dをフィーチャーしたリミックス・バージョンでキメます。またこんなグループが出てきて、素敵なR&B作って欲しいものです。（Jackson 5やNew Editionみたいに、大きくならなかったのが残念。)

“Candy Rain” is a smash R&B hit back in 1995 by Soul For Real, a group made up of 4 brothers. I play remix version featuring Heavy D (the song is actually produced by him) for mature crowd and never failed to set the party. Unfortunately, Soul For Real never attained the level of fame as Jackson 5 and New Edition.
