The Weeknd released his debut album “Kiss Land” on September 18 in Japan (on September 10 in the U.S.) .

According to The Weeknd, the title “Kiss Land” symbolizes the tour life, a terrifying place. It’s a place he’s never been to before that he’s very unfamiliar with.

He also explained where the title Kiss Land came from, saying: “I didn’t want to call it Dark World or something so generic. The title came from a conversation that I overheard and those words stuck out. Someone said, “Kiss Land” and I thought, “That’s going to be the title of my album.” It sounds so ridiculous.

The Weeknd is currently touring in support of his major debut album, “Kiss Land” performing 28 concerts over a month and a half Long time span.

オーナー・シェフのメルバ・ウィルソンさん（シルヴィア’ズのオーナーの姪にあたるそう）がフード・ネットワークの人気番組「Throwdown With Bobby Flay」でアイアン・シェフのボビー・フレイを見事打ち負かして以来、評判もうなぎ上り。「メルバ’ズ」自慢の「サザン・フライド・チキン＆エッグノッグ・ワッフル」は、是非トライしていただきたいソウル・フード・メニューのひとつです。

メルバおばさんのフライド・チキンはカラリとあがって衣のバランスもよく食べ飽きないおふくろの味。ちょっともっちり系のエッグノッグ・ワッフル＆シロップとも良く合います。そしてここはお肉だけでなくお魚もグッド！　フィッシュ＆チップスは衣もお魚もふんわりして美味。

いつも大混雑のお店ですが、ウェイトレスのお姉さんたちがとてもフレンドリーで、まるで親戚の家に遊びに来たような気分……。要予約！

I’m not exaggerating. You will wait at least 30 minutes for brunch and 2 hours for dinner at worst. It’s partly because the dining room of Melba’s is compact but also because this tiny Harlem joint has been getting lots of attentions since Melba Wilson beat Iron Chef Flay on Food Network’s very popular” Throuwdown with Bobby Flay.”
