1. Rude – Magic!

カナダのレゲエ・バンドMagic!　この曲と共に彗星のごとく現れて大ヒットを飛ばしました。なんだかのんびりしたレゲエ・サウンドに、彼女のお父さんに、娘さんを下さいってドキドキしながらお願いしたら……君の世話には一生ならない、答えはNo! でも僕は彼女と結婚するもんね!!!っていう内容のかわいらしい、ほのぼのする歌詞です。とってもユニークな一曲。クラブではZeddのエレクトロ・リミックスが断然かっこいいです!

The debut single by Canadian reggae fusion band Magic! “Rude” became a surprise hit. Listen to the lyrics ‘can I have your daughter for the rest of my life/you say I’ll never get your blessing till the day I die……/I’m gonna marry her anyway……’ cute, isn’t it? Remix version by Electronic DJ/producer Zedd made it a club anthem. Nice!

2. Go All Night – gorgon City feat. Jennifer Hudson

わー、良いですね。凄い歌唱力のあるジェニファー・ハドソンが、こういう90’sっぽいディープ・ハウスをやるのを待ってました。かなりそこらへん、ど真ん中の感じに仕上がっていてかっこいいです。Kiesza の“Hide Away”みたいなディープ・ハウスな曲が流行っているのは嬉しい限りです。

Absolutely love this!! I’ve been waiting for J Hud to do a 90’s Deep House song like this. This is sooo Kiesza! This is great.

3. Time For Love – Chris Brown

今回はBPM105くらいのちょうど爽やかに踊れる速さのR&Bです。ドレイクの”Hold On We’re Going Home”とつなげてかけたい、私の大好き系R&B。こういう爽やか系、最近なかなかでてこないので貴重、もっと作って欲しい!

Classic Chris Brown, “Time For Love” is mixing mainstream and pop elements with Up-Tempo R&B with BPM about 105, just perfect to dance to. Makes me wanna play this and shift to Drake’s “Hold On We’re Going Home.” This is my kind of fresh R&B!

1. L.A. Love – Fergie

Fergie、確か子供を産んでちょっと休業中だったような…..? 最近芸能ニュースとか以外では彼女の名前あまりきかないと思ってたら、DJ Mustardプロデュースの曲でいきなり返り咲き!みんなFergieは大好き……特に男性陣。グラマラスなスタイルのよさから黒人のお兄さん達もFergieはセクシーだぜ〜って目をハートにして言ってるの良く目にします。そんな彼女が今人気のマスタードと作った曲は流行らないわけないなぁ。

Fergie is back!! She had a baby a while ago but she is no longer on a hiatus and recently dropped the DJ Mustard-produced banger. We all love her. Especially brothers do love her for her curvy sexy body. Will this be a major comeback hit for her? I believe so!!

2. Low – Juicy J feat. Nicki Minaj, Lil Bibby, and Young Thug

Juicy Jにピッタリのスローでかっこいいビートに、これまたNicki Minajのパートもさえてる。Juicy Jはなかなかクラブで人気です。Hip Hopファンはみんな好きみたいですね。大ヒットになるかわからないけど、個人的になんとなく好きな一曲。

Nicki Minaj part really stands out on Juicy J’s dope new single “Low.” Great beats! In club world Juicy J is a household name especially among hip hop fans. Personally I love this song!

3. Can’t Trust Thots – Wash feat. French Montana

誰だ？クリス・ブラウンでもないし、うーん、誰が歌ってるんだろう??って思ったら.. 聞いたこともないWashというシンガーでした。Washさんとやらを検索してもInterscopeから出てるくらいしか載ってないので、どんな人なのか謎。なんとなくクリス・ブラウンぽい曲調。ノリの良いR&BにMontanaのコマーシャルなラップ。ちょい流行るんじゃないかな。

Was it Chris Brown? I couldn‘t recognize the vocal. His name is Wash. Have you heard him? I haven’t. I googled and all I could have found was that he was on Interscope. Anybody please tell me who he is. Very Chris Brownish song. With Montna’s rap on smooth R&B track this could be a hit!

1. I – Kendrick Lamar

Isley Brothers の“That Lady”を思い切りサンプル、コーラスもキャッチーです。一回聞いただけでばっちり覚えちゃいます。ソウルフルにボップな雰囲気を混ぜ込んでて、なんとなくOutkastっぽい。アウトキャスト、かっこよかったなぁ、また復活してほしい！

Kendrick Lamar’s new single samples the Isley Brothers’ classic “Who’s That Lady.” It is so catchy, upbeat and funky you fall in love instantly. Mixing soul and pop reminds me of a signature music style of Outkast. I miss them so much! Please come back.

2. Boom Clap – Charli XCX

Iggy Azaleaとのコラボ、 “Fancy”で一躍有名になったシンガー、Charliのシングル。リラックスできる感じの歌モノで、とっても良いです。テンポの速いダンス・リミックスもでていて、クラブでそちらのほうが人気があります。“Fancy”を聞いた時、なんとなく声がグエン・ステファーニに似てるなぁと思いました。あの曲、グエンとやっていたらもっと売れたかも。

Charli wrote and was featured on “Fancy” with Iggy azalea of which brought her to international prominence. The faster tempo club version is already being played at clubs and is well received. The first time I heard her I thought her voice sounds much like Gwen Stefani. If Gwen had done that song it might have been more successful, I wonder…….

3. Club Goin’ Up on A Tuesday – IloveMakonnen feat. Drake (remix)

最近BrooklynのラウンジでDJした時かけたら、大ウケ。もちろんお客さんはHoodぽい黒人さん達。アトランティック・シティーのクラブではかからないです..スロー過ぎるのかな。

リミックスにはDrakeも入ってるんで、そりゃHip Hop好きな人は大好きだろうな。

When I played this song at the lounge for people mostly from the hood in Brooklyn they loved it!! You don’t hear this type of slow songs in clubs in Atlantic City. But I guarantee hip-hop fans would love this remix featuring Drake.

1. IDFWU – Big Sean feat. E40

これまたDJ Mustard プロデュースに加え、Kanye Westもプロデュースに参加してます。なかなかBig Seanのポップな味が出てて、いい感じです。ノリもよいのでクラブでヒットしそうです。

Big Sean dropped the hyped up “IDFWU”, a song in which he raps over a production put together by DJ Mustard and Kanye West.

2. Came to Do – Chris Brown f/ Akon

今時のマスタード系のR&Bです。(マスタード作ではないですが。)テンポもいいし、クリス・ブラウンがLoyalの時みたいな感じで歌ってて大変良いです。Rihannaちゃん事件からなんとなくTVでの露出はかなり減りましたが、クラブでは彼の曲はまだまだかなりの人気です。やっぱり才能があるんだなぁ。

I love Chris Brown’s new R&B song “Came to Do” a non-DJ Mustard-song but sounds like one. His vocals remind me of “Loyal”, his most successful single from the album. His TV exposure dropped drastically after 2009 Rihanna incident but his songs are still being played at clubs all over the place. He is super talented, that’s why!!
