  1. We In Da City (Remix) – Young Dro f/ T.I.

トラックもかっこいい。みんなの大好きなT.I.が Remixでは加わってるので Young Droのみのオリジナルより Remixの方がクラブやラジオで かかりまくってます。遅いテンポだけど、ノリがいいし、良い感じのThug具合？なので、クラブでは ヘネシー飲んでる黒人のお兄さんから、グレーグース飲んでる白人のお兄さんまで幅広く人気の曲です。

Young Dro gave us a new single by the name of “We In Da Cidy” back in February and now we get a remix that features T.I. which being played currently at the most of the clubs. The slow-tempo new dancefloor shaker with a twist of thuggish flavor gives a joy to both Henny drinking black brothers and Grey Goose drinking white brothers alike.

  1. Antidote – Travi$ Scott

テキサス出身で若干20歳のニューカマー Travisさん。Kanye のレーベルG.O.O.D Musicと、T.I.のレーベル Grand Hustle と契約、この秋にアルバム・リリース予定。Kanye Westも彼の実力を認める、今とっても注目の ラッパー/プロデューサー。この曲は ラップと言うより 歌ってるかんじで、なんとなく彼の尊敬しているKanye Westぽい曲調。キャッチーなコーラス。ラジオでも良くかかってます。

A newcomer from Houston, Texas, Travi$ Scott signed to Kanye West’s GOOD Music as a producer and to T.I.’s Grand Hustle as an artist at the same time. Travi$ is one of the most anticipated rapper/producer right now. This one is a little more subdued than your average Scott record, featuring melodies that sound very Kanye like. With its catchy chorus this one’s getting a lot of radio play.

  1. Right Hand – Drake

最近出た曲の一つなんですが、渋いトラックが一度聞いたら耳から離れないです。Meek MillとBeef中のDrakeですが、50とJa Ruleの時みたいに Meekが干されることないよう願ってます。Hoodのお兄さん達の中には 「何はともあれ 俺はMeek派だぜ」って根強いファンもたくさん居ます。クラブでもMeekの曲はかかってます。50とJa Ruleの時は 全くJa Ruleの曲はクラブではピタリとかからなくなったんで、あれを思い出すと全然ソフトです。

This is the one of the newest Drake/Meek Mill beef related songs and the track is so deep I can’t get this song out of my head. I hope nothing bad will happen to Meek like 50 Cent and Ja Rule’s two-year-long beef costed Ja with no record playing at clubs back then. I guess this one is softer compare to 50 vs Ja. Wishing nobody gets hurt.

  1. Medicine Man – Dr. Dre feat. Eminem, Candice Pillay & Anderson Paak

サザンカリフォルニア出身のHipHop レジェンドグループ NWA の物語を映画化した 今すごく話題の Straight Outta Compton が 今週の金曜日、とうとう上映されますね。メンバーには Dr. Dreや Ice Cube, 今はなき Easy Eもいて歴史に残るグループの一つです。私も映画みたいです。Ice Cubeの息子さんが 若き Ice Cube役を演じたらしく、それも見どころみたいですね。

Eminemも参加してる Medicine Manは 映画のサウンドトラックからの一曲。久しぶりにEminem聴けて嬉しいな。

“Straight Outta Compton,” a rap-to-riches story about the group N.W.A., opens on this Friday! Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and late Easy E are the members of the legendary group from Compton. I want to see the movie not just this is a documentary about N.W.A. but Ice Cube’s real son, O’shea Jackson Jr. is playing his father and he looks just like Cube. “Medicine Man” is a new song from Dr. Dre “Compton” soundtrack featuring Eminem, Candice Pillay and Anderson Paak. It’s been a while since the last time I heard Em. Love it!

  1. Back To Back – Drake

Meek Millとビーフ中のDrake。事の始まりは なんだかMeekにTwitterでdisられたので 黙って居ず Meekにフリースタイルで反撃。Hip Hop好きのみんなは 今回 Drakeよりの人が多いです。そうですよね、一緒に曲作ってるのに Drakeを馬鹿にするようなことを言いだしたMeekは良くない。曲の中で色々Meekをけちょんけちょんに言ってます。

It all started with a tweet that Meek dissed Drake saying “stop comparing Drake to me…..He don’t write his own raps!” Drake responded and released a second track aimed at Meek Mill and it seems all the people are on Drake’s side this time. He is killing Meek!

  1.  Burn Up The Dance – Dillon Francis & Skrillex f/ Maluca

LA 出身の EDM系のDJ/プロデューサー Dillon Francis と EDM/ Dubstepの ちょー人気プロデューサー Skrillex が共作の新曲。レゲエ調+エレクトロテイストで センスよく ノリのいい夏にぴったりのトラックです。クラブでもかかってます！

EDM DJ/Producer Dillon Fransis from LA and one of the hottest producers Skrillex collaborated and dropped this one. This song has a nice electro taste with a Reggae flavor, perfect for a hot summer.

1. R.I.C.O – Meek Mill feat. Drake


新しいアルバム Dreams Worth More Than Money からの一曲。まだクラブではかかってないけど きっとすぐにバンバンかかるでしょう。Mill と Drakeとのコラボ、ヒップホップ ファンなら嬉しい取り合わせです。Meek Mill、お兄さん達から絶大な人気、私が毎週末DJしてるアトランティック シティーのクラブでは Meek Millのホームタウン フィラデルフィアからのお客さんも多いせいか、必ずMeek Millかけてってリクエスト来ます。先週なんて、なんでもいいからMeek Millってリクエストで 太っ腹お兄さんから$60チップ貰ってしまいました。滅多にないことなので Meekさんに感謝です！

Meek and Drake connect on R.I.C.O., their second collaboration on a solo track, following “Amen” from Meek Mill’s debut album Dreams & Nightmares. Not yet popular at clubs but it won’t take long to break big. Meek is so huge at the place I dj on the weekend in Atlantic City, NJ being not far from Philadelphia where Meek is from. I get a lot of request to play his songs. Last week, a very big-hearted guy asked me, “Play any song by Meek,” and I obviously satisfied his desire ‘cause he gave me $60 tip! Meek the Man, thank you!

2. 679 – Fetty Wap feat. Remy Boyz


今をときめく Fetty Wap, 現在も Trap Queen はみんな大好きな曲でパーティーでは大盛り上がり、そして次に出た My Wayも大ブレイク中。679は本当は去年出た曲なんですが ブレイクせずに終わり、 Fetty Wapが人気の今、再リリース。かなり きてます。ノリのいい R&Bぽいヒップホップ。Remy Boyzは Patterson New Jersey 出身 Fettyを含めた 3人のラップグループです。Pattersonって言ったら NJでもかなり治安悪い地域です。ジャストブレーズさんもそこ出身です。サビもキャッチーで、私も大好きな一曲です。

Best known for his big hit “Trap Queen,” Fetty Wap dropped a new single “My Way,” a great party banger. While everybody is focusing on his new hit, I pick “679” for this week’s chart. This song was originally released on Fetty Wap’s SoundCloud in early 2014 but didn’t blow up until it was re-released with a music video on WorldStarHipHop in May 2015. Fetty’s 3 men unit ‘Remy Boyz’ are from pretty rough neighborhood Patterson, New Jersey. Oh, my friend Just Blaze is also from their hometown.

3. Fun – Pitbull feat. Chris Brown


ちょっぴり早めのテンポ、ラテンテイストの入ったノリのいい曲で、今ラジオでヘビーローテーション中。なぜかクラブでは あんまりかかってないんですが、(多分テンポが中途半端の為か？)お客さんからリクエストはよく来ます。やはり Pitbullは根強い人気ですね。クリス・ブラウンなんで、ヒットしないわけないです。ちょっとテンポ早くした ダンス・リミックスもいっぱい出てるので 臨機応変にそっちかける時もあります。最近 Pitbullのでっかいヒットがなくて少しさみしいです。夏が終わるまでに 一発打ち上げてもらいたいです！

Pitbull’s up-tempo new song with Latin twist “Fun” may just be the song of the summer. I get a lot of request even the song was not being played so much at clubs. How can a song by one and only Pitbull featuring Chris Brown go wrong? I play dance remix depending on the floor’s appetite.

1. My Way – Fetty Wap f/ Drake Remix

Trap Queenもいまだに クラブですビッグソングですが、これまた大ヒット曲だしてくれました！Fetty Wapの声ってAutoTune内蔵されてるかの様な良い声ですよね、見かけはちょっと怖いですが。一発屋にならずに良かった！この曲はまだちょっと白人さんには弱いかもしれないけど DJはTrap Queenよりもこっちをメインに持って来てかけてます。特にオリジナルより Drakeの加わったバージョンが人気です。

New big hit by Fetty Wap while his 2004 hit “Trap Queen” is still going strong. His voice itself sounds like Auto Tune don’t you think? His appearance is a little intimidating…..I’m so happy that Fetty is no one hit wonder. “May Way” is not as getting popular.

  1. Classic Man – Jidenna

初めて聴いたとき、なんとなく懐かしい感じのする曲だなぁという印象でした。Jidennaってアーティストなんですが、Janelle Monae のレコードレーベルから出てます。うーん、なるほど、的な おしゃれないでたちをされてます。クラブでは ウケる時とあんまりウケない時があります..なぜかなぁ。激しくなく 2ステップ踏む感じののんびりした曲調、個人的に結構好きな曲です。

This song sounded familiar to me when I first heard it. Jidenna was an artist signed to Jonelle Monae’s label Wondaland and dropped “Classic Man” as his first single in 2015. When you watch his video you can see Jidenna is a very fashionable classic man himself as his affiliation to Janelle suggests. Somehow this song would sometime hit and it would sometime miss at the club and I wonder why……I personally love the 2 step not so fast relaxed song.

3. Cheerleader – OMI

この曲、白人のおねーちゃん達からものすごいリクエスト来ます！初め、お恥ずかしながら知らなくって どんな曲なんだろうと聴いてみたら、想像してた様な曲では全くなくて、びっくりした思い出が…。きっとEDM系の明るいダンスミュージックなのかなって想像してたら どうやらレゲエぽいですね。しかも普通のレゲエぽくなく ちょっとおとなしめの早いテンポ。意外です、なぜこの曲が白人のカレッジガールズみたいなおねーちゃん達に大人気なのか.. きっとラジオの影響でしょうか。なぜか黒人さん達には全然人気ない様な感じです、謎の一曲。

I am overwhelmed by the request for this song exclusively by white girls! At first I thought this should be EDM up-tempo music but it turned out not so typical laidback reggae song. Why white collage girls love this song so much while black folks don’t seem to care. Very mysterious…….
