楽しい辰年　2012 The Year of The Dragon

今年は辰年です。

The Year of the Dragon begins on January 23, 2012.

According to Chinese tradition, the Dragon is the luckiest of all the creatures in the zodiac and can be equated with the emperor.

Dragons are an interesting lot, never lacking for charisma. They are intensely restless and must always be doing something, starting some new product, dashing off to some far corner of the world, or embarking on a new love affair. Being endowed with an extraordinary amount of self-confidence, Dragons are rarely unsuccessful in any of their ventures.

However, their restlessness means they all too often do not see their schemes through to the end, and their lives feature many serious ups and downs, both in love and finances. Dragons are almost always arrogant beyond belief, utterly convinced that everything they do and say is absolutely correct and that nobody else’s opinion is worth anything at all. Being incapable of accepting orders from anyone actually helps them to be natural leaders. They assume it is their divine right to issue orders that must be obeyed at all costs.

It is, therefore, hardly surprising that they are often surrounded by a crowd of admirers but have very few close friends. However, the friends they do make they tend to keep for life.

Though difficult and obnoxious, when there is real trouble afoot, you can rely on the Dragon to take control and deal with it effectively and magnanimously. They are never petty in leadership and may demand a great deal, but they are always fair and lead from the front.

Theirs is the world of action, where the only direction is forward and the word “can’t” does not exist.
