メキシカン調の楽しい&のんびりしたトラックに、TVゲームのスーパー・マリオ音をサンプリングしてループされてて なんとも面白い曲です。Dramのほのぼのした歌声がまた味があって良い。バージニア出身のニューカマー D.R.A.M。Beyonceがこの曲に乗せて踊ったビデオ、そして「この曲聴くと ハッピーな気分になるわ！」ってコメントと共にインスタグラムに載せたとたん Cha Chaのミュージックビデオの再生数がいきなり400万件近くに。一夜にして 一躍人気者になってしまった！彼もBeyonceに 大変感謝しているとのこと。
”Cha Cha” is a very interesting song by Virginia-based rapper/singer D.R.A.M. The music is based on a loop from Super Mario World. Most recently, Beyonce, who posted a contagiously joyful Instagram video of herself dancing to it, her caption, “this song makes me happy,” is priceless. Almost instantly began to attract admiring reactions and the hit reached 4 million and it truly made him an overnight success. He said he loved her for what she did.
2. Hood Go Crazy – Tech N9ne feat. 2 Chainz & B.O.B
Hip Hop Classicの名曲 Digital Underground の The Humpty Danceのぶっといベースラインを大ネタ使いしてて ビートがとってもカッコいい！オールドスクールテイストを残しつつ 今人気のラッパーが代わる代わるにラップしてて、楽しいです。クラブでもかかってます。
Great beats! That bending bassline sampling Hip Hop Classic, Digital Underground’s “The Humpty Dance” is the most interesting here. “Hood Go Crazy” features 2 Chainz, one of the best feature artists of the last decade and B.o.B., a great pop rapper still sounds like Old School Hip Hop. It’s currently making noise at clubs.
3. I’m Up – Omarion feat. Kid Ink & French Montana
いまだに Post To Beがクラブで根強く人気のOmarion。今度は これまた人気の French MontanaとKid Inkをフューチャーリングして Post To Be に似た感じの踊れるR&Bが新しく出て 良い感じです。この曲もPost To Beみたいに 流行る可能性ありです。ラジオでは良くかかってますが、まだあまりクラブでは聞かないかな。
With his latest single “Post To Be” still dominating he charts and airwaves, Omarion is now shifting his focus onto the follow up song, “I’m Up” featuring Kid Ink & French Montana. Not yet taken over clubs but it won’t take long to be all over the radio.
