1 Check – Meek Mill

この曲がかかると、お兄さんたちがウオ〜って立ち上がって喜びます。サビの Check, Check..を大合唱。ありがたい一曲です。今乗りに乗ってる Meek Mill、Nicki Minajとエンゲージしたらしくちょっとビックリ。今人気1番同志のヒップホップカップルですね。長続きするのかな..。Drakeが Meekをディスったとかで二人のファンのお兄さん達は Drakeちょっと寒いぜって言ってるみたいデス。

Meek Mill’s newest banger causes an instant uproar. Guys stand up and scream at the top of their lungs and sing along the hook, “check, check……..” in unison. I owe this song a lot. The news that Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj got engaged surprised me. They are the hottest couple in hip-hop game right now. Hope they last…….. Fans don’t appreciate Drake’s dissing Meek people say that Toronto MC lost his cool .

2. Good Thing – Sage The Gemini f/ Nick Jonas

この曲なんと言っても Nick Jonasの哀愁漂うメローでキャッチーなコーラスが良いですね。Nick Jonasは New Jersey 出身の兄弟3人組アイドルバンド Jonas Brothers の一人。白人のお兄さんだけど歌唱力はバッチリ。で言うととっても良い曲。でも哀愁漂い過ぎてとっても良い曲なのにパーティーのど真ん中ではかけられない。とっても残念！色んなリミックスを手がけるプロデューサーの友達に、この曲をリミックスしないのかって聞いたら、良い曲だから触りたくないよって言ったてました。そんな事言わないでかっこいいの作って欲しいです。

Nick Jonas one of three members of Jonas Brothers has amazing voice. He is white but he can sing his ass out. “Good Thing” is truly a good song but because of Nick’s heart-wrenching pleading vocal I can’t play it at the peak of my party and I asked my producer friend who does a lot of remix if he can remix this song he said, “Nah, I don’t wanna touch this ‘cause this is great as it is.” Somebody pleeease make remix this song for me!

3. Again – Fetty Wap

最近ずっとFetty Wapですが、また新しい曲が出てしまいました。この曲はまだ員にはドカーンと受けてはいませんが、もうすぐクラブでヘビロテになるでしょう。ちょっぴりソフトな R&Bタッチ、ハードコアなHip Hop お兄さんは、俺あんまり好きじゃないな、って人もちらほら。

Fetty Wap dropped a new song once again. It didn’t have an immediate impact on the scene yet but I predict this gonna be in heavy rotation before you know it. With some R&B flavor “Again” may not be hard enough to satisfy all the hard-core hip-hop heads.

Finna Get Loose – Puff Daddy & The Family (feat. Pharrell)

懐かしい The Neptunes サウンド。ファンキーなビートでかっこいい！！PuffyとPharrellと言えば、バスタ・ライムズの”Pass The Courvoisier” や Diddyなんかヒットしましたね。今でも “Pass The Courvoisier” はパーティーには欠かせないチューンです。今回は Diddyじゃなく Puff Daddyとして登場、アルバムもうすぐ出るみたいです。ビジネスマンであり (今ではクラブで Puffyのウォッカ Cirocはもうお馴染み) まだ現役で音楽でも活躍中..本当凄いひとです。

The Production by the Neptunes on this track, courtesy of Pharrell, is undeniably fantastic. Busta Rhymes’“Pass The Courvoisier” featuring both Pharrell and Diddy is still a club anthem today. But it’s Puff Daddy, not Diddy. The rapper/entrepreneur is returning to his former rap moniker for his new album soon to be released. Puffy is known as a great business man as his Ciroc vodka is available at every club you go. What a guy!!

Want To Want Me – Jason Derulo

爽やかで夏にピッタリくるアップテンポのR&B。ラジオでもよくかかってます。クラブではテンポをもう少し早くした Danceリミックスで盛り上がってます。Jason Derulo なかなか根強い人気です。

This is the perfect love song for this summer. Up-tempo R&B song is on the radio all day long. I play a bit faster Dance Remix for the dance floor. Jason Derulo still has it.

Freak On The Week – Krept & Konan feat. Jeremih

レゲエのクラシック Playground Riddim (Beenie Man の Who Am I が有名) にのってノリが良くてキャッチーな Jeremihのコーラスが良いですね。曲聞いたことない人でもレゲエのビートなら聞いた事絶対あるので違和感なく踊ってます。これも夏ぽくて気持ちいい1曲。Krept & Konanって誰やねん？と思ったんですがイングランドのラップデュオみたいです。

UK rappers Krept & Konan spit on an old Jamaican beat Playground Riddim best remembered by Beenie Man’s “Who Am I”, this song features Jeremih’s catchy chorus. “Freak On The Week” definitely makes you wanna dance even though you don’t know the song ‘cause you can recognize the Raggae beat. Very summer-like nice tune!

1. R.I.C.O – Meek Mill feat. Drake

新しいアルバム Dreams Worth More Than Money からの一曲。まだクラブではかかってないけどきっとすぐにバンバンかかるでしょう。Mill と Drakeとのコラボ、ヒップホップファンなら嬉しい取り合わせです。Meek Mill、お兄さん達から絶大な人気、私が毎週末DJしてるアトランティックシティーのクラブでは Meek Millのホームタウンフィラデルフィアからのお客さんも多いせいか、必ずMeek Millかけてってリクエスト来ます。先週なんて、なんでもいいからMeek Millってリクエストで太っ腹お兄さんから$60チップ貰ってしまいました。滅多にないことなので Meekさんに感謝です！

Meek and Drake connect on R.I.C.O., their second collaboration on a solo track, following “Amen” from Meek Mill’s debut album Dreams & Nightmares. Not yet popular at clubs but it won’t take long to break big. Meek is so huge at the place I dj on the weekend in Atlantic City, NJ being not far from Philadelphia where Meek is from. I get a lot of request to play his songs. Last week, a very big-hearted guy asked me, “Play any song by Meek,” and I obviously satisfied his desire ‘cause he gave me $60 tip! Meek the Man, thank you!

2. 679 – Fetty Wap feat. Remy Boyz

今をときめく Fetty Wap, 現在も Trap Queen はみんな大好きな曲でパーティーでは大盛り上がり、そして次に出た My Wayも大ブレイク中。679は本当は去年出た曲なんですがブレイクせずに終わり、 Fetty Wapが人気の今、再リリース。かなりきてます。ノリのいい R&Bぽいヒップホップ。Remy Boyzは Patterson New Jersey 出身 Fettyを含めた 3人のラップグループです。Pattersonって言ったら NJでもかなり治安悪い地域です。ジャストブレーズさんもそこ出身です。サビもキャッチーで、私も大好きな一曲です。

Best known for his big hit “Trap Queen,” Fetty Wap dropped a new single “My Way,” a great party banger. While everybody is focusing on his new hit, I pick “679” for this week’s chart. This song was originally released on Fetty Wap’s SoundCloud in early 2014 but didn’t blow up until it was re-released with a music video on WorldStarHipHop in May 2015. Fetty’s 3 men unit ‘Remy Boyz’ are from pretty rough neighborhood Patterson, New Jersey. Oh, my friend Just Blaze is also from their hometown.

3. Fun – Pitbull feat. Chris Brown

ちょっぴり早めのテンポ、ラテンテイストの入ったノリのいい曲で、今ラジオでヘビーローテーション中。なぜかクラブではあんまりかかってないんですが、(多分テンポが中途半端の為か？)お客さんからリクエストはよく来ます。やはり Pitbullは根強い人気ですね。クリス・ブラウンなんで、ヒットしないわけないです。ちょっとテンポ早くしたダンス・リミックスもいっぱい出てるので臨機応変にそっちかける時もあります。最近 Pitbullのでっかいヒットがなくて少しさみしいです。夏が終わるまでに一発打ち上げてもらいたいです！

Pitbull’s up-tempo new song with Latin twist “Fun” may just be the song of the summer. I get a lot of request even the song was not being played so much at clubs. How can a song by one and only Pitbull featuring Chris Brown go wrong? I play dance remix depending on the floor’s appetite.

Can’t Feel My Face – The Weeknd

この曲いいですね！アップテンポで少しオールドスクール的な感じのR&B、誰でもこの曲好きって言いそうなノリのいい曲です。プロデューサーはちょー有名なPop界の最高位 Max Martin。ブリトニー、Back street boys, N Sync..などなど数多くのヒット曲を生み出して彼らをスターにしたプロデューサー。最初聞いた時 Max Martinだと知らなかったけど、いい曲だな！って思ったんですが、プロデュース名聞いてなるほどやっぱりって感じでした。ヒットした映画 50 Shade Of Greyの挿入歌 Earned It もメローですっごく素敵な曲ですよね。今ブレークしている The Weeknd、これからの活躍が凄く楽しみです。

I love this new up and coming The Weeknd song produced by Swedish mega producer Max Martin known for making Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, N Sync and many more big stars. The funky up-tempo song has Old School flavor and if you love R&B you can’t resist this song. So nice! I didn’t notice that this was made by Max Martin at first when I learned I was like, yeah, no wonder……..The Weeknd’s smash “Earned It” which has helped carry the movie 50 Shades of Grey on the Billboard 200 is also great mellow song. Can’t take my eyes off of The Weeknd!!

Watch me – Silento

この曲振り付けがあって、これがかかるとみんなでお決まりのダンスをして凄く楽しそうです。今までヒットした振りのついたダンスをSilento (アトランタ出身のニューカマー) が名前挙げていくんですが、どれも簡単な振りで誰でも踊れるようになってます！

“Watch Me” comes with a string of dance move you have to follow. Atlanta’s new comer Silento names each famous dance move along with the song and by the time the end of the song, you can master whole dance! It’s like a magic.

Want To Want Me – Jason Derulo

夏ぽくて爽やかなアップテンポ Pop/ R&B。とってもいい曲なんですが、あんまりクラブではかかってないような気がします。曲調としては Maroon 5 が歌っててもピッタリな感じです。

Jason Derulo’s very catchy Pop/R&B song is perfect for the summer. Not played at clubs though. The song itself would fit for Maroon 5, I think.
