懐かしい「ネプチューン」サウンド。夏らしい軽快なR＆Bで、T.I.がフィーチャーされているのがいいエッセンスになっています。Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown などR＆Bが盛り上がってきて嬉しい。

The classic Neptune sound featuring the great essence of T.I. R&B is getting strong with Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown and Robin Thick. I’m loving it!!

3 This Is How We Do It – Montell Jordan

新しい歌も1995年に大ヒットした曲ですが、未だにパーティーではバカ受け。オール・ジャンルのクラウドに受けるありがたい曲。「金曜日やで、パーティーやで……」というシンプルな歌詞、思いきりパーティー・ソング。盛り上がらないことはあり得ない、DJのベスト・フレンド的な曲です。

This is a 1995 number-one hit song by Montell Jordan and still a party banger for any crowd. “It’s Friday night, and I feel all right………,” can’t go wrong.

クリス・ブラウン、久々に渋いR＆Bを出しました。いつものCBと違ってソウルフルなところが玄人受けしそう。ジャスティン・ティンバーレイクの新曲も大好きですが、これもなかなか。Ne-Yoが歌ってもアリかな、という感じ。

Chris Brown’s new song sounds a lot more soulful than before and definitely will please mature fans. The material is also suitable for Ne-Yo. I love Justin Timberlake’s new song but I like this one, too.

2 Open Letter – Jay Z

Swiss BeatzとTimbaland がプロデュース。曲のほうよりも、ビヨンセとのキューバ旅行でのオバマ、ホワイト・ハウスとのからみなどを語っていますが、そっちのほうが話題になっている。

Heavyweight Producers Swizz Beatz and Timbaland provide the beats. Jay-Z and wife Beyonce’s trip to Cuba has caused controversy as the song includes the lyrics “Boy from the hood but got White House clearance, Obama said, chill, you gonna get me impeached.”

3 Stellar – Daddy’s Groove

新しい歌ものエレクトロ・ソング。シンプルなラヴ・ソングですが哀愁が漂うアコースティック・ギターが素敵。ビデオは「何でやねん」という感じのオチなのがちょっと残念ですが…….。

“Stellar” is an Italian house music group, Daddy’s Groove’s brand-new monster production featuring several guitar and piano melodies. The video is somewhat disappointing…….

March 17 was St. Patrick Day and Clinton Sparks produced this special song, “Boston Bass” to celebrate the heritage and culture of the Irish. Clinton is from Boston, the city with large numbers of Irish immigrants. I played this song at the party in Atlantic City over the weekend and everybody loved it!!

Sampling almost 10 year-old Clip’s big hit, “What Happened To The Boy” turned out a refreshing dance banger trap song.
