Prince took over the Arsenio Hall show on Wednesday night when he was invited as the sole guest invited onto the show. In a rare television appearance, he kicked the show off with a debut performance of Funkroll with 3rd Eye Girl, a track off his upcoming album. Prince also performed his classic hit, “She’s Always in My Hair” and “Mutiny” for an audience, half of which was wearing shades of purple.

During a fan Q&A with the audience, “Purple Rain” singer revealed that he can cook!
“I can cook but only one thing, omletes. All my friends have high cholesterol,” he joked.

Who is Arsenio Hall?
Arsenio Hall is best known for hosting The Arsenio Hall Show, a late-night talk show that ran from 1989 until 1994, and a revival of the same show beginning in September 2013. When it first started, the show became a breakout, late-night success among younger audience. Especially black entertainment fans like me was glued to his show to embrace guests such as already famous Micheal Jackson, up and coming comic Eddie Murphy, hip-hop artists like 2 Pac, MC Hammer, Ice T, Will Smith, actor Denzel Washington, boxer Mike Tyson and other lesser known people back then.

Recently Sean “P Diddy” Combs sat down with Arsenio for the first time. Diddy said, “I wasn’t big enough and now finally made it,” and laughed. Then Diddy passed on his “best taste” Ciroc vodka flavored vodka.
