1.Kendrick Lamar – To Pimp A Butterfly
1stアルバム『good kid m.A.A.d City』も傑作でアルバムから色々掛け倒しましたが、サプライズリリースされたこちらの2ndアルバムも強烈なジャケットと裏腹により音楽性を全面に打ち出されたフリーJazzを彷彿させる素晴らしい内容です。日本のヒップホップチャートでも3週連続1位を記録中 (2015年 4/1現在)

Kendrick’s major-label album debut “good kid m.A.A.d City” was a great album and I enjoyed playing many songs from that album. To our surprise his 2^nd album “To Pimp A Butterfly” was released a week early on March 16, 2015. Unlike shocking image of the album cover this is truly a music masterpiece influenced by aspects of funk and free jazz and staying on Japanese Hip Hop chart for 3 consecutive weeks as of April 1, 2015.

2. Big Sean – Dark Sky Paradise
先日 Springgrooveで来日を果たし、見事なPR活動で得意のファッション性を打ち出しファンとの距離をより縮めた公私共に充実中のBig SeanのアルバムがDopeです。『IDFWU』が日本のCLUBでも流行っておりますが、個人的にオススメは『Blessing』 A Bathing Apeとのコラボアイテムも出るみたいで話題がつきませんねー

コチラも最近の例にもれずサプライズリリースですが、結果はお見事でした。カナダに多く滞在するジャマイカンのSkitなど『地元ならでは感』もいいですし、より一層Deepに我が道を行くBPM50台は彼の完全なる領域かと思われます。余談ですが…Saturday Night Liveでのコミカルな演技も是非見て欲しいです。

Another surprise release by Drake’s album is absolutely worth listening! Featuring skits with Jamaicans speaking in patois reminds you of a big Jamaican population in Toronto, Drizzy’s hometown.
