Brunch in Harlem – Bara Wine

Brunches have become very eventful in Harlem recently. With the weather getting nicer why don’t you explore Harlem and have a brunch on a weekend? Harlem2Nippon’s this week’ pick is a French bistro, “Bara Wine.”

“Bara Wine” is a romantic and trendy restaurant tucked right on the corner of Lenox Avenue and 120th Street. When you walk into the restaurant, the clean minimal white space and the insanely perfectly aligned bottles upon bottles of wine on the walls catch your eye. A communal table greets you in the front of the restaurant and as you walk further back, being in awe at how much wine is on display, a small dining room awaits you with tables dressed with wine glasses and shiny flatware.

The menu’s strong on garden-fresh salads and bistro classics, such as hanger steak, beef tartar and roasted duck magret. We ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and baby spinach omelettes and Nicoise salad. Although the portion sizes were slightly on the smaller side, but the food was good. Please be a little more generous with wine pours……We will be back!
