1 Nobody – Rick Ross feat. French Montana & Diddy
3月9日はBiggieの命日。そのビギーの名曲、”You’re Nobody” をリック・ロスとパフィーたちがリメイクしたのがこの曲。
原曲の渋さを壊さず、ちょっと哀愁漂う雰囲気でなんとも男前です。ビギーもジェイZもブルックリン出身。私もずっとブルックリン在住で、DJを始めたのもダウンタウン・ブルックリンのバーでした。そこのお客さんのリクエスト(当然、ビギー、ジェイ、リル・キム等バッドボーイ関係が多かった)に応えながらかけてたので、とても勉強になりました。リル・キムがトイレを借りに入ってきた時もあってびっくりした事も…….。
ちなみにM.O.Pは毎週来てくれてました(笑)。みんなの憧れのラッパーたちなのに、昔一緒に遊んだり、そんな短かな存在だったこともあり、私ってつくづく凄い所に居るんだなぁなんて感動した時もありました。
This is one of my favorite songs by Rick Ross from his new album, “Mastermind.” March 9th was Biggie Small’s anniversary. “Nobody” is a remake of his “You’re Nobody” featuring French Montana and Diddy. Rick Ross kept original song’s essence and paid the homage to late Notorious B.I.G.
Biggie and Jay Z are both Brooklyn native and I also live in BK. My first gig was djing at a local bar in downtown Brooklyn and people always asked me to play songs by Biggie, Jay Z, Lil Kim and many others on Bad Boy label. I learned so much from the experience from that time. I never expected that one day Lil Kim would come in to use the bathroom!
Some of my regular customers are the members of M.O.P. showing up almost every week! I never realized until today that I was in such a great place and great time to have had a chance to hang out with all the great rappers.

“Happy” が大ブレークしているファレルの新曲。とても爽やかな春~夏な感じがします。ジャスティンとのコラボというだけで「イケてないわけがない」お洒落な曲。
Currently enjoying his successful “Happy,” Pharrell dropped this gem bringing us fresh spring and summer. Can’t go wrong with this collaboration with fashionable Justin.
3. Let’s Get Fucked Up – MAKJ & Lil Jon
Hip Hopからすっかりエレクトロに路線変更してしまったLil Jon、今じゃラッパーというよりDJと一緒にいるMC、エレクトロ版みたいな存在です。全盛期のFatman Scoopみたいな…..。
Lil Jonの入ってる曲、パーティーでは必ずといっていいほど盛り上がります。これもアゲアゲ、迫力のあるビートにLil Jonのシャウトがマッチしててかっこいい。
Previously the King of Crunk now Electro Giant Lil Jon is dropping a new big hit “Let’s Get F*cked Up.” This is really CRAZY! He is no longer a rapper more like MC just like Fat Man Scoop in his golden days. There’s no denying his vocals totally work with this track. There’s no party without Lil Jon!!
